The Time Of Their Lives

Time travel? Surely not! All Professor Slade did was invent a security shield to encase his family estate – oh, and construct a secret nuclear reactor to power it, using depleted uranium as fuel.  What could possibly go wrong?  For his home-study, pre-teen children and his rarely-at-home financial-whiz wife, briefly present in the palatial house when the shield is turned on, the full extent of the unexpected outcome is beyond their wildest dreams… and maybe some of their nightmares.  Suddenly, the entire estate is halfway around the world in Africa, but, if that isn’t enough, it’s Africa of many centuries ago!  Handling the situation requires the combined efforts of the entire family, something that none of them are used to.  And then, there are the natives.  Not nice, friendly ones, but a whole bunch of them, determined to kill them all!  The need for escape is desperate, but the so-called security shield electronics are damaged.  The race is on: will they have to stay and face the attacking hordes, or will they manage to escape, and, if they do, where (and when) will they turn up next?
